Kitchen Solvers of Emerald Coast modernized this Miramar Beach, Florida kitchen by creating more clean, sleek lines with the cabinetry and brightening up the space. The homeowners contacted Jay and Jill McAdams at Kitchen Solvers to install new custom cabinetry. After working with the homeowners through the design and selection process, they decided Folkstone colored Bellmont 1900 Madrid door in Rift White Oak would give the space an updated look that fit their style.
When it came time to install, the team first removed the heavy paneling around the pantry and installed a new door. They also moved the refrigerator to a new location to create a more functional space and allow for a sleek, straight kitchen island, instead of the more dated rounded look. Adding floating shelves gave the homeowners more storage space, but also a space to create a visual break from the cabinetry. Puck lighting was installed in the floating shelves to highlight the stemware and decorative accent pieces. The combination of the wood shelves with stark white wall brightened up the kitchen tremendously. The homeowner also requested a larger working space, so the team added a longer island for more functional cooking space. To finish the look, lighting was added under the cabinets and the homeowners opted to have the bar space cabinets refaced to match the new custom cabinetry.
